Will of Robert Carrington Russell of St. John's
In re                   
Robert Carrington Russell   deceased.

This is the last will and testament of me Robert Carrington Russell of St. John's in the Island of Newfoundland, Custom House Officer.
First.  I nominate and appoint Harry Grant of St. John's aforesaid, Accountant, Executor of this my said Will.
Second.  I give and bequeath unto the said Harry Grant all and singular my leasehold interest in the land and dwelling house, situate on Bannerman Street, now in my occupancy, together with all and singular the furniture of every description belonging to me and contained therein to hold the same in trust for the use and benefit of my wife Eva Russell during her lifetime and whilst she remains unmarried, and on her death or marriage, I give devise bequeath the same unto my three children, viz, Harold Russell, Ethel Birch and Lillian Russell to be equally divided between them.  As to the rest of my estate, consisting of moneys in Bank and masonic Life Insurance, I will and direct that, after the payment of my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses have been paid the balance shall be deposited at interest, in the Bank in which is now deposited, and out of the same my Executor shall pay to my said wife the sum of one hundred and twenty dollars a year in quarterly payments, and on her death or marriage shall divide the same equally amongst my said three children, provided there is a balance remaining out of such fund.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand at St. John's aforesaid this sixteenth day of April in the year of our Lord [Anno Domini] one thousand nine hundred and twenty.  R.C. Russell.  Signed by the said Testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who present at the same time in his presence and in the presence of each other, have hereunto set our names as witnesses.  H.
