Will of John Carter of St. John's
In re                     
John Carter  deceased.

This is the last will and testament of me, John Carter, of St. John's, Cooper.  I appoint Hugh Carter sole executor of this my Will.  I bequeath all my monies, goods and effects of which I may die possessed to my children surviving me, to have the same in equal proportions share and share alike.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my hand at St. John's this ninth day of March, A.D. 1920.  John Carter.  Signed published and declared by the Testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us, both being present at the same time who in his presence and at his request hereunto subscribe ourselves as witnesses attesting the due execution hereof.  Edgar Jones, Rector of St. Thomas's Ch Rebecca Carter.
