Will of John Holden of St. John's West
In re                    
John Holden  deceased.

This is the last Will and Testament of me John Holden, junior of St. John's West.  Assistant Engineer of the Municipal Council.  I hereby give devise and bequeath my land house and stock situate on the Topsail road in St. John's West aforesaid together with my life insurance in the Independent Order of Forresters, my Star Society benefit and all other property of which I may die possessed to my beloved wife Ellen Holden with the exception of my 20 shares in the St. Georges Coal Fields Ltd., which I leave to my brother James Holden in return for any obligation I may be under to him for his kindness in helping us with work.
I hereby appoint William Ryan of the St. John's Municipal Engineering Staff Executor of this my Will.
Dated this 19th day of March A. D. 1919.  John Holden Jr..  Signed by the said Testator as and for his last will in the presence of us both present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereto affixed our names as witnesses.
