Mary Grace Williams deceased
I, Mary Grace Williams of Bay Bulls, Widow of Thomas C. Williams, do
make publish and declare this as and for my last will and testament hereby
revoking all other and former wills.
I appoint Thomas G. Williams of Bay Bulls, merchant, to be the Executor
of this my will directing him as soon as possible after my death to pay
all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses.
1. I give devise and bequeath all that piece of parcel of land
situate at Bread and cheese point, Bay Bulls, and bounded by land
of Richard Williams and John H. Williams and also all that piece or parcel
of land at Bay Bulls Bight bounded by land in possession of John H. Williams
and James Coady to my three sons James, Albert and Francis to be equally
divided between them.
2. I give devise and bequeath unto my son Francis the land, premises
and dwelling house now occupied by me together with all household furniture
and effects except my personal bed and bedding for his sole use and benefit.
3. I give devise and bequeath to my three sons James, Albert
and Francis to be equally divided between them the money to my credit on
deposit in the Savings Bank.
4. I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Jessie O'Brien my house
and premises situate on Water Street, St. John's and now occupied by one
Lahey.
5. I give devise and bequeath to my Executor as Trustee all my
right title and interest in and to land situate on Water Street, St. John's,
occupied by the Reid Newfoundland Company's Electrical Store and in and
to land occupied by the United Coal Company and all rents and profits arising
from the said properties upon the following trusts:-
[A] To hold the said land occupied by the Reid Newfoundland Company's
Electrical Store and all profits and income arising therefrom in trust
for my grandson Thomas E. Williams until my said grandson attains the age
of Twenty one years my executor shall apply the annual income of the said
property for the support maintenance and education of my said grandson.
In the event of my said grandson dying before he attains the age of twenty
one the said property shall upon his death revert to (the word his is crossed
out) my general estate. When my said grandson attains the age of
twenty one years my executor shall convey the said land and profits to
him absolutely.
[B] To hold the said land occupied by the United Coal Company and all
profits and income arising therefrom in trust for my grand-daughter Jessie
O'Brien Williams until my said grand-daughter attains the age of twenty
one years my executor shall apply annual income of the said property towards
her support and education. In the event of my said grand-daughter
dying before she attains the age of twenty one years the property shall
upon her death revert to my general estate. When my said grand-daughter
attains the age of twenty one years my executor shall convey the said land
and profits to her absolutely.
I give devise and bequeath unto my executor the sum of Ninety dollars
[$90.00] in gold which is now in my house and also my personal bed and
bedding directing him immediately after my death to give this bed and bedding
to my grand-daughter, Jessie Williams. Out of the sum of Ninety dollars
hereby bequeathed to him I direct my executor to pay my funeral expenses,
erect a tomb stone at my grave and expend the balance in Masses for the
repose of my soul.
The rest residue and remainder of all property of which I may die possessed
I give devise and bequeath unto my three sons to be equally divided between
them.
In Witness Whereof I have hereunto subscribed my hand at St. John's
this 14th day of November A.D. 1916.

Signed Published and Declared by the said Testatrix as and for her last
will and testament in our presence, who in her presence, at her request
and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our hands as
witnesses.
