Maiden names added by Jill Marshall where known from marriage records, compiled family histories, Encyclopedia of Newfoundland & Labrador {noted as ENL}, etc. I have also called upon the knowledge of fellow researchers from the NF ROOTS List and the NGB members list for the provision of maiden names: a sincere thank-you to all those who helped in this endeavour.

This is the final section of the Vital Statistics for the Anglican Cathedral.Ministers who transcribed the records in the 1940s at the request of the Nfld government had only to cover the period up to 1891, as the government started keeping its own records at that point in time. Readers are reminded that the original parish records in many cases (although not always) contain more information that was copied into the Vital Statistics ledgers, such as names of the fathers of the bride and groom, and extra witnesses.You should consult the original parish records whenever possible.
